What does Mozart stand for? With the concert program #explore_mozart, the STEGREIF.orchester dedicates itself to the free-spirited and masonic thinking and music-making of the 18th century in the environment of the composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and questions how this can form bridges to current political and social issues. Mozart's ideals, always closely related to the five basic Masonic ideals of liberty, equality, fraternity, tolerance and humanity, meet here with European values and the Inner Development Goals. The five ideals form the pillars of the program and manifest themselves in fifteen-minute chamber music pieces.
On Sunday, May 16, 2021, the STEGREIF.orchestra streamed the premiere of #explore_mozart in the form of a 360° digital concert walk. In doing so, the orchestra invited its viewers* to a new kind of binaural sound experience via headphones. 360° sound and video recordings enable the exploration of a digital concert space with multiple senses. Not only can the audience direct their attention in different directions by clicking the mouse on the computer or moving the cell phone, but the musicians, and thus the music itself, move freely around the binaural miking and 360° camera.
#explore_mozart is a co-production with the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele.
#explore_mozart is supported by the Karl Schlecht Foundation.
